75th Anniversary

August 25, 2000

The Tunkhannock Rotary Club  celebrated 75 Years of community service on August 25th 2000 at the Shadowbrook Resort, here in Tunkhannock.   This  Gala Event featured many special activities. The Toastmaster for our program was Klee Fitze, who related some little known history of our club and provided us with several interesting anecdotes relating to some  of our service projects over the years.  RI Representative, Robbyn Singer provided an interesting array of facts and figures for our club from the vantage point of RI. The speakers were then followed by Humorist, Glen Strange, who provided a mixture of wit, magic, and just great general entertainment. As a backdrop to all of this program, a slide presentation was running in the background. This presentation was comprised of pictures of the past as well as a discussion of some of the projects this  club undertaken.
