Memorial Park Club Project 1954
- Originally built as a park for baseball and football.
- $16,500 was raised in 1954 dollars.
- All Skilled and unskilled labor and equipment donated by PENELEC, Commonwealth Telephone, Rotarians, and interested citizens.
- Real heroes of of project were Penelec and Commonwealth as they climbed the poles.
- Poles were 90 feet long and brought in special from the west via rail.
